Summer is coming…
Finally it’s a sunny morning! It’s the 23th of April, but it doesn’t seems Spring: it has been raining all the last week here in Rome!
The warm sun shining this morning made me happy, and I started thinking about summer and holidays: what’s a perfect holiday?
According to me, a perfect holiday is a relaxing one: you can forget your job and your responsibilities and just rest. But this isn’t an universal idea: everyone has a different “perfect holiday”. First of all you have to choose between seaside, mountains, country or cities of art. Nowadays there are many different solutions for everyone of them.
Seaside is surely a classic destination: swimming in the blue sea refreshing from the muggy weather, playing beach volley with your friends or playing with the sand with kids, or simply sunbathing reading a book are all images that make you feel immediately relaxed.
People who love mountains, on the contrary, think that at the seaside usually it’s too hot, even if there’s the freshness of the sea. If you go to mountains, moreover, you can go for healthy walks, discovering beautiful landscapes.
If you are looking for a cultural holiday, cities of art are exactly what you need: you can visit museums and monuments, and learn a lot about our past. If you’re walking in Rome, between the Coliseum and the St. Peter’s Basilica, or going to Paris, visiting the Louvre and the Tour Eiffel you can “smell the history”.
More and more people during last years chose farm stays and country for their holidays. In this way, you could spend a few days living as a farmer, harvesting fruits and living near animals: you’ll forget about your office, and maybe imagine to be a real farmer!
Whatever idea you have about your next holidays, let’s start arranging them, so you can avoid the last-minute stress and really enjoy your time. If you like last-minute solutions, don’t arrange anything, but let’s start thinking and imagining about your next summer, helped by this shining sun.
If you have a new idea or proposal for an unforgettable holiday, let me know it, commenting this post, I’m waiting for you.
